Whether you’re fitting a Linear, R530 or R400 glass fire screen, proper assembly protects both the toughened glass and your EcoSmart Fire burner. This guide walks you through each step, with important safety notes on handling tempered glass and operating your fireplace once the screen is in place.

WARNING The glass used is toughened (tempered) glass - which means it is stronger than normal glass. Importantly, even though it is stronger, toughened (tempered) glass still has weaknesses. The corners and sides are specific pressure points where it is more fragile and can break if care is not taken. Extreme temperature variations could cause the glass to shatter.
CAUTION Glass will get HOT when fire is in operation. Keep children away. Never leave children unsupervised around a fire.
Linear and R530 Glass Screen Installation
Step 1. Remove all corner covers.

Step 2. Align the glass legs with the designated slots in the metal tray and carefully push into position. Exercise caution so as not to fracture or damage glass.
If included as a standard part (compulsory with Teak gas models), the appliance must not be operated without the glass screen installed.

To correct any misalignment of the round fire screens, make sure they have been pushed down correctly. If there are still not aligning use a Philips screwdriver to adjust the screws as needed.

R400 Round Glass Screen Installation
Step 1. Install the three (3) glass support metal brackets.

Step 2. Insert burner into the model. Add glass charcoal around the burner - be careful not to scratch the burner surface.

Step 3. Carefully place the glass fire screen onto the three (3) metal brackets. Ensure bumpers are intact on the brackets to prevent damaging the glass fire screen.
